Back on the road with the USMTS

April 25th -Todd Shute returned to action with  United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS)  this past weekend. On Friday April 22nd, Shute made visit to the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas for the 5th Annual Tompkins Industries Rumble on the River’s Edge.  After picking up a forth place finish in the heat race, Shute would go on and win the B-Main.  The driver of the number 5 would start 13th and pick up a 7th place finish in the 32 lap feature.

Next the team headed to the Randolph County Raceway in Moberly, Missouri for the 6th Annual Sydenstricker Farm & Lawn Shootout on Saturday April 23rd. Shute would earned a spot in the 37 lap A-Main after a 5th place finish in the heat race and a second place finish in the B-Main. Toddzilla would earn the hard charger award with a 7th place finish after starting 15th in the  A-Main.

Finial night of the three day swing was at  the Atchison County Raceway in Atchison, Kansas for the "Inaugural Cage Match" on Sunday April 24th. Shute would start 15th in the feature after a 5th place finish in the heat race.  The 5 car was on a charge before a wreck on lap 10 of the 52 lap event would end his night.

Shute wins Lakeside! Picks up a Top 5 at I-35

(April 17 , 2016 ) Todd Shute ventured to the Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City , KS for USRA weekly racing event on Friday April 15th . Todd would draw the pole for his heat and pick up the win . Shute would line up fifth in the 25 lap feature . The driver of Billy Moyer Victory Race Car Karl Performance powered number 5 would pass Darron Fuqua on lap 10 and drive away with the feature win .

The next night the team headed to Winston , Mo at I35 Speedway for another USRA weekly racing event . After picking up a 5th place in the heat race , the Des Moines , Iowa driver would start 10th and picked up a 4th place finish in the feature .

Shute makes the KOA

April 3rd - Last weekend, Todd Shute made the trip to the Humboldt Speedway in Humboldt, Kansas for the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) King of America VI presented by Chix Gear.

On Thursday, Todd would start 6th and pick up a 2nd place finish behind Travis Saurer in the first round of heat races. In the second round, Shute would picked up a 7th place finish. 

Friday saw the Des Moines, Iowa driver picked up a 9th place finish after starting 12th  in the third round of heat races.  In the fourth and final heat, Shute would take his Billy Moyer Victory Race Cars/Karl Performance powered machine to win over Mike Jergens.

Shute would find himself in 32nd in points out of 106 entries after the preliminary action. Todd would start 8th in the C-Main on Saturday and picked up a 5th place finish transferring him to the B-Main. Shute was battling for a transfer position when a huge wreck occurred on lap 10 of the 20 lap event. Todd was involved in the accident, but was able to continue.   With a bunch of body damage, the driver of the 5 car would hold on for the transfer position for the 12,000 to win main event.  In the 72 lap finale, Shute would drop out of the event on lap 21 with steering issues.  

Toddzilla picks a top ten run at the "The Hummer"

Todd Shute made the trip to Humboldt Speedway (Humboldt, Kansas) on March 19th for the first race of the MSD Central Region with the United States Modified Tour Series (USMTS). 
Shute would picked up the heat race win. In the 3,000 to win 42 lap feature, Toddzilla would start and finish 6th. The team will head back to the Humboldt Speedway for the King of America March 31st thru April 2nd!

Shute heads to Southern Oklahoma Speedway

Todd Shute made the trip to the Oklahoma Speedway in Ardmore, Oklahoma for the final three races for the  United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS) Winter Speedweeks March 3rd thru the 5th.

On Thursday the Des Moines, Iowa area driver would transfer to the 35 lap feature after finishing 4th in the first heat race and in the B-Main. Shute would finish 12th after starting 22nd in the 2,000 to win feature.

On March 4th,  Shute would earned a 2nd place finish after starting 5th in the feature.  Todd would redraw the pole position for the 3,000 to win. The driver of the Billy Moyer Victory Race Cars/Karl Performance powered machine would place 8th in the 40 lap feature.

The final night of the Winter Speedweek saw Todd won his heat race, but was dq'ed for rev limiter chip infraction. 'Toddzilla' would start 15th and pick up the 4th and final transfer spot in the B-Main. Shute would drop out on lap 22 of the 50 lap feature and pick up a 24th place finish.

The 5 Car heads to Louisiana

Todd Shute and the TS5 team made their first trip to the Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana. on February 25-27 at Ark-La-Tex Speedway in Vivian, Louisiana with the United States Modified Touring Series (USMTS).

On Thursday, Todd would finished 4th in his heat race. In the 15-lap B-Main, Shute was in 5th when another competitor made contact and sending the 5 car off the track and ending the night.

The second night of 5th Annual Cajun Clash seen Shute pick up another 4th place finish in the heat race. After starting 4th in the B-Main, the Des Moines, Iowa driver would drive by Thomas Tillison Jr. and pick up the win.  "Toddzilla" would go on to start 15th and finish 6th in the 40 lap feature.

The final night at Ark-La-Tex Speedway seen Shute experience a spin in the heat race and a 9th place finish. In the B-Main, the driver of the Billy Moyer Victory Race Cars/Karl Perfromance powered machine would place 6th after suffering a mid race accident.

Toddzilla wins 'Wild West Shootout' Points Championship

Todd Shute and the TS5 racing team made the 23 hour trip to the USA Raceway in Tucson, Arizona for the 10th Annual Keyser Manufacturing Wild West Shootout for the USRA Modifieds to kick off their 2016 season.

The six race series started on Saturday January 9th. After finishing 2nd in the heat race, Todd would start 12th in the 25 lap feature. Shute would climb as high as 6th in the feature before dropping out due to suspension issues.

On Sunday January 10th, 'Toddzilla' would finished third in his heat race. Todd would start and finish in 15th in the 25 lap A feature.

After two day break, the team regrouped for the third race at USA Raceway on January 13th. After having issues in the heat race with a 6th place finish, Shute would win the 12 lap B- Main. The Des Moines, Iowa driver would start 17th in the feature, and race his way to a 3rd place finish behind Darron Fuqua and winner Ryan Gustin.

Race four of the 10th Annual 'Wild West Shootout' would take place on Friday January 15th. Todd would win his heat race after starting from the pole. Due to passing points, Shute would start 11th in the 25 lap feature. Todd would race his way to a 4th place finish.

The fifth night of the series would take place on Saturday January 16th. Todd would take a 2nd place finish after starting 6th in the heat race. In the 25 lap feature, 'Toddzilla' would start 4th in the 24 car starting field. Shute would pass race long leader Rodney Sanders on the last lap to pick up the feature win! The driver of the Billy Moyer Victory Race Car from Karl Performance would picked $1000.00 for his efforts.

Sunday January 17th would be the final night of 10th Annual 'Wild West Shootout'. After picking up another heat race win, Shute would start 6th in the 25 lap finale. The Des Moines, Iowa area driver would battle for the lead during feature, but would end up with a third place finish. With the podium finish, Shtue received an additional $1,000 for winning the 'Wild West Shootout' points championship.
